The Friends of Windmill Allotments are asking the site's landlord, Thames Water, to support our Intergenerational Project, which brings together local elderly care home residents, volunteers, school children and their teachers to share an allotment plot. The project has run successfully for 2 years, providing much-valued opportunities for befriending, education, and healthy living.
The Friends call on Thames Water to:
- Encourage the Intergenerational Project;
- Celebrate and educate about allotment gardening

To reduce the pressure on plots and make best use of the site, Friends of Windmill Allotments are also asking Thames Water to:
- Open up and let the derelict plots in small urban plot sizes;
- Reform the waiting list to fairly balance the intake to the site; and
- Cut out delays in letting plots
